I don't understand how he was 'working' at the KH. Was he a Witness who was doing some electrical work or something? Maybe from a different congregation since he got to know the victim through his work? Also, it mentions 'statuatory rape' which would indicate that he seduced her. Wish the article was less ambiguous.

BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME.....let's rebuild!
by Terry inokay we've all beat our chest, lamented and throttled the dead horse of aawa.. time to move on!.
i suggest those of us on j-w.n who care about creating something the right way take the trouble to get the framework going.. let's do the grunt work and get the nattering, debates, naming and organizing already pre-approved so that "others" who have the talent, ability, motivation and resources can move in and turn the key!.
because it was not done before.. there is more wisdom on this discussion board in our vast numbers than there could possibly be in a virtual boardroom with 8 people brain-storming.. that isn't an insult--it is just a statistical fact!.

I believe they had a designated dustbin and shredder at Bethel for any such letters. If it makes you happy and gives you some moral confidence, then by all means do it. But to believe that anyone at Bethel is going to read past the moment when they first notice what your point is, let alone forward it to anyone in charge, is not being too realistic.

Maybe they're just doing that to f**k with JWN? You know, keep us guessing. We'd have to account for a king's portion if not most of the hits they are going to get once it goes back online, with the contents and any new developments spread out here and analysed.

Public Apology Nathan Natas
by Simon ini'd like to offer a public apology to nathan natas for making a wrong decision when i deleted him.. i allowed a combination of previous issues we'd had and input from other forum members to bias my decision which lead me to what i now, in hindsight, believe to have been a mistake.. whether you want to come back and post here or not i wanted to at least say sorry and will reactivate your account..

Someone once said here that it's never too late to do the right thing. Glad to see that he took his own advice, and the site is much the better for it. Now an inglorious chapter and altercation on JWN can be closed with the bannings reversed. Welcome back!

What will happen when JWActivists goes back online?
by okage inthe aawa website jwactivists is down for repairs or whatever, so here is my prediction of what it will be when it comes up:.
* the site will have removed all mention of jwn.
* the site will have revised their own history.. * the site will have a registry that will be contingent on confirmation of identity in relation to the wts, but will also limit the function and communication of naysayers of john cedars' only working organization on earth.. * privacy will not be addressed.

They might be implementing a group forum discussion feature similar to JWN in order to facilitate their remaining band of supporters and defenders who suddenly feel alienated from this site. That would explain the long time down for maintenance. It also is circumstancial evidence that perhaps the donations and volunteer applications have dried up somewhat where shutting the site down for a couple of days wouldn't have too much of an adverse effect. They also have a new Vice President to appoint.

Is AAWA a non profit? Or is the application still in consideration?

There can get into a heap of trouble if they advertise as non-profit when they are not yet approved. For tax purposes they'd likely have to claim all donations as gifts or gratuities, and pay the appropriate taxes until they qualify as a non-profit. Don't know if they can retro-actively claim donations as tax-exempt after they are approved as non-profit. For the donator, you also cannot claim a deduction since what you gave was a gift, just like if you gave someone on the street $100.

A poster who has experience in running a non-profit previously mentioned in another thread that it takes 2-12 months for the US tax authority to approve your entity as a non-profit. As the AAWA was incorporated in March, the earliest they can possibly receive this status is in mid-May.

Good point, wha happened?. For someone in his position, a lawsuit is the last thing he would want to initiate, either personally or through AAWA. Does he not realise that he will be subpoenaed to the court in Arizona, and be subject to cross-examination? Does he not realise that his long protected identity would be revealed in such proceedings? So for him to tell Simon people 'have been sued for less' with regards to the AAWA - JWN feud is a very foolish threat to make, especially with his own legal ambiguities.
